Wow. I'm back, and I can't believe the weekend is over. It was crazy.
Friday I watched Groove. I didn't even need to go out to a party, because after watching that movie I really felt like I had been to a rave. It's a great movie to watch when you want to go out but are too tired/lazy to actually go. Not the deepest movie, but a real fun experience.
Saturday, while driving around looking for a place to fly Thomas' remote control airplane, Thomas, Daniel, Jee and I randomly decided it would be a good idea to go to Daytona Beach. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive from Gainesville, so we didn't arrive till sundown. We nabbed a great inexpensive hotel ($80 bucks for the 4 of us), and walked around town, the beach, and ate at a great little 50's diner. High point of the evening was when we were at a stop light and Thomas got smoked by an old, old man who looked about 80 with a 40 year old lady in the passenger seat. Thomas says he didn't know they were racing, but we all know its a poor excuse for losing to grandpa. We ended up finding a cooler full of chilled beer downstairs and after getting the desk attendents permission, whisked it away to our dorm room. What a find! We all fell asleep around 2 to the sound of waves on the beach (our hotel room faced the beach, with an absoultely gorgeous view).
Sunday, we lazily dragged ourselves out of bed around noon and checked out by 1pm. We drove along the beach (in Daytona you can actually drive right on the beach!) and found a nice place to park. We spent a few hours chilling, running around, playing frisbee, hackey sack, laughing, and crashing the RC airplane into the ocean. We finally drove home around 4pm. After getting home, and thinking it was the end of the weekend we got a call from Stella that there were some people visiting her and they had nothing to do. So the great hosts we are, we invited the girls over to our dorm for a night of laughter and drinking games. It was seriously a blast. Kaela and Cassandra are welcome back anytime.
Of course, none of us slept all night, and were finally drug out to get some Krispy Kreme doughnuts around 9am-ish. We all got along beautifully. It was fantastic. They left around noon, and we stumbled, sleep deprived, back home. I slept from 2pm to about 11pm on Monday. Woke up, ate a sammich, and went back to sleep around 2am till 11am Tuesday. Then pretty much spent the entire day today getting reacquinted with my dear computer who missed me ever so much. I do have an exam tomorrow evening so I should head off to bed to finish studying tomorrow.
ps. added/subtracted a few things from the layout today to make version 3.1, hope you like it.
