I along with as many compatriots as I can recruit am beginning the planning stages to attend the Skate and Surf Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey on April 16th and 17th. While I was writing this entry, I came across the Coachella website and after a few minutes of indecision, I decided that I will be attending this show instead.
Coachella is a two day festival in bright sunny Coachella Valley, California on May 1st and 2nd (Sat and Sun). My last exam is on April 28th. Does life get any better? Oh yes it does... here's the bands I'm travelling 2300 miles (most likely be aero-plane) to see....
Radiohead, Bright Eyes, The Pixies, Broken Social Scene, Kraftwerk, Stereolab, Death Cab for Cutie, Crystal Method, Athomsphere, Thursday, Basement Jaxx, Belle and Sebastian, Air, The Flaming Lips, and The Cure (check out the rest of the lineup)
Tickets are about $150 for a two day pass. Plane ticket will be about $250. I won't eat anything. Yes, I know thats $400 and I could buy an iPod instead, but experiences are priceless in my book. It'll be an adventure. It'll be a reward for (hopefully) finishing the semester strong.
So the only question that remains unanswered....
Who's coming with me? and ohh yeah, anybody need a website?
