Well I suppose it's time to let the metaphorical gerbil out of the cage. I got a job! I was hired by Mark Trammell and the University of Florida Web Administration Dept. I was pretty much hired before spring break, and after a couple meetings, I worked my first real day today. I have nothing but good things to say so far. The other guys in the Dept. are cool, my desk is in the football stadium with a window (female athletes anyone?), and I even get to choose my own schedule. Today, I helped with the new CSS templates (in the style of the new ufl.edu site) to replace these old dated table ones. It's really great and I'm looking forward to what challenges it will bring. Here's my brief resume that helped me get my foot in the door.
I bought my tickets to Coachella yesterday on Ebay. 20 dollars less than Ticketmaster would've cost, so that made me happy. I've been surfing the message boards on there lately to try to get as much info as possible and inside scoop. So far I've almost talked Cory and Steph into going with me :D The trip is costing me alot, so I've had to decline many offers this week for cool things like SoCo, Stellastarr, and even a trip to North Carolina. Figures once I decide on a trip all these cool things come my way. So if you are my friend, don't bother asking me to do something that costs money, for I have to save everything for the weekend of May 1st. Yes, it will be worth it.
If you haven't already go check out Stellastarr, they are Smiths-esque and really make you wanna get up and dance.
PS. I need a submissive computer, this one keeps shutting off when she wants to.
