Pom Wonderful

I've loved Pomegranates for years now, but only on my most recent trip to Publix did I discover the wonderful, delicious, fabulous, Pom Wonderful. It's pomegranit juice! As much as I love tearing apart each seed and sucking the juice out of them, this is so much easier. The juice comes in 5 flavors (plain, and pom + some other fruit). I've only tried the plain so far, but i'll eventually try the others as well. It's a bit steep at 3 dollars for 15.2 ounces but it is said that contains atleast two pomegranites which go for $1-1.50 anyway.

And then there's the bottle. Everybody knows by now, that I love well designed bottles. I saved it and am thinking of growing some plant in it in my apartment next year.

I also had fun with a coconut today. I kept hitting it against everything and anything but it wouldn't break. What I really needed was an ice skate. My friends were cracking up and I got frustrated and dropped it on the ground, and of course it breaks open spilling coconut milk all over my room. Atleast I get to savor the coconut meat. In Mexico they put lime and salt on the coconut meat, which is pretty tasty, you just have to get used to it.

I've heard of Pomegranates in Greek myth, but I've never tasted one..what does it taste like? Compare it to another fruit or something :)

Oh wow, I'm dumb... I probably shouldve included that in my entry. Pomegranites remind me of cranberry juice. A bit tart like cranberries, but a extra hint of sweetness that makes it a bit more enjoyable than cranberry juice.

The Pom Wonderful website also touts its great health benefits. While this wouldn't be the selling point for me, it's an added bonus.

Pomegranites are messy, bloody little snots --but nice to garnish with turkey.

The bottle reminds me of anal beads.

My English isn't good enough to understand "anal beads" right away, but after a quick Google search I got alot wiser. Thank you so much, Stacy. :/

I've never had pomegranites or coconut meat before. Do you know if Pom Wonderful is sold in places other than Florida? Or wherever you are/were at the time of this entry?

I'd also like to try coconut meat.

Yes, poms and coconuts can be found outside of Florida. I find them in Oregon, so I'm sure anyone can find them.

Btw, Mathibus, you're welcome. Remember: Anal beads are either a beaded string used for anal pleasure... or the best tasting meal when you wake up in the morning. :)

Ew, anal beads. I prefer to call them ben-wah balls because the happiness of the 'ben-wah' bit overshadows the greatness.

Oh, and Stacy...gross.

I was doing a google search for anal beads and all of a sudden I ran across this post. It isn't what I was looking for but Pom Wonderful definately is wonderful. You can enjoy the savory goodness that is pomegranite and avoid the mess that comes from getting those "bloody little snots" free. Yes I've noticed this product in stores throughout the country.

"I was doing a google search for anal beads..."

That is how most of your comments are going to start from now on. ;)

And you seem to get so many cool well designed drinks in the US, totally un-fair!
