How does one get a gmail account?

Well eventually they will be free and easy, I assume, but for now its still in beta testing so one must get invited by somebody who already has one.

Tay tay, if you bothered to read linkies section a bit more you'd know I got a Gmail account a few days ago. :P I haven't got the invites yet though.
