Homeward Bound

Well that was a quick week of nonblogging if I do say so myself. Tomorrow morning I head back to Florida, arriving Thursday evening. Then I unpack, repack and head back to school Saturday afternoon. I'm almost boring myself with the neverending 'im coming, im going' entries, but that is how it is.

List of things I did in Chi town:
Romeo and Juliet Musical at Navy Pier with Gma (hilarious)
Dinner with Gma, Aunt, Uncle, Cousins
Waited 10 hours for my powerbook to arrive (from the time it showed up on UPS tracking till my door)
Love affair with powerbook
Jumping on trampoline with Katie, Keifer, Dougy, Bo, and Sarah.
Got to see my absolutely favorite author, Kurt Vonnegut, speak on fathers day (i recorded it all on my pb)
Saw 'The Terminal' at midnight on thursday (first showing!) with Katie and Alex O. 3/4 stars, I really enjoyed it!
Ate a total of 4 Chicago Style Hotdogs
Spent way too much time on my Cingular roaming phone (69 cents a minute!!)
Went to a bar and saw people from highschool. Everyone was fatter, heh.
Resisted the urge.

I'm off to Becca's, where I will spend the night and get a head start on the long drive back tomorrow.

ps. I didn't post 365 pics because I'm on dialup and I didn't have photoshop and I couldn't figure out how to resize the photos without it. </excuses>
pss. They will be up when I get home on my nice, comfy XP desktop.

The Author

I'm in Lowell, Indiana at the moment surfing from a Flying J gas station. $1.95 for an hour ain't too shabby (or its 5 bucks a day). I guess I should get back to driving or something.

God I love the internet.

Heya Taylor! Nice to see you back to blogging again. Glad to hear your trip went well.. Hoping you have a safe trip back (if you're not back already). Anyway, hope to hear from you soon, and look forward to your updates for 365!

Cool that you got to see Vonnegut speak! I've only read The Sirens of Titan, but I have Slaughter-house Five and will probably start it after I finished Nine Stories by Salinger. I loved Titan.

So, any chance you could give me some advice on getting a gmail invite? Most of the offers shown on Linkpool ask for material too advanced for my puny little brain, or all the invites are gone by the time I see the link. I wanna be the coolest (geekiest) kid on lj!

Blade: Oh don't play coy with me mister. You know all you had to do was ask. What's your email address?

Really? To be honest, I didn't. I don't really know how this invite business works, except that everybody has at least five of them and I can never get one. Thanks man!
