About 6 hours away from my home, driving through Atlanta, I got pulled over by a cop. Earlier that day I thought to myself, "Boy, if I was going to be pulled over, I'd like to be pulled over with a few cars, not just me." Well I got my wish. The other guy was heading to Florida too, heh. Interestingly, my license plate has been expired since April 2003 (and it was still Illinois, because I've been too lazy to change it over to FL...well too cheap actually). This is the first cop that ever pulled me over and only asked for my license, and no registration. I'm not complaining, because I probably deserved a ticket for that expired tag too :)
I was clocked at 81mph in a 55mph zone. I certainly didn't know it was 55, but oh well. My parents thought I was pushing my luck, so I finally went to get a FL plate today. $210 for plate and title transfer (from IL to FL) + the $120 for my speeding ticket (which seems awfully cheap for 26mph over) = the iPod I wont be getting. Yay.
