Project 183

Its early July, pretty much half way through the year. I've been doing Project 365 (or 366 as many people have noted since it *is* a leap year) for 6 whole months! It really is my proudest achievement on this website to this date. I'm amazed I actually kept it up, and I'm amazed at how beautifully some of the photos came out.

I have to admit, I love posting interesting, weird photos that you don't understand or leaves you guessing. Some say I should include a description with each photo, but I like it the way it is. From my standpoint this project is an incredible reminder of what I have been up to every single day for the last 6 months. It's so fun to look back and see a girl, a beach, a night I was out driving around. It also easily becomes apparent the days and weeks where I don't do anything (the weeks with utterly boring photos). I smile and think of how much quality time I must've spent with my computer instead of going outside :)

It's also an amazing feeling to hear people actually look forward to my 365 updates, and appreciate my photography. I can tell you I'm a complete novice, but I think I'm starting to learn a thing or two about composition (though I have a long way to go till I match my uncle's expertise).

In celebration of the half way mark, I will make an offer to you. Leave a comment about any one specific photo you had a question about, and I will gladly give you a thrilling description of what was going on in my life that day.

First off, I'm a great fan of project 365 (especially since my own cam broke down), I take (took) pretty similar pics and would really like to see you continue this project for the next years.

1. Where's the RSS feed ???
2. You play the guitar ??? (pic)
3. That isn't your fridge, right ??? (pic)
4. Is that you jumping at night ??? (pic)
5. Who drank all that stuff ??? (pic)

I suppose many people would love to be able to comment on the pics, so, why not open comments ?

I will ask 5 questions as well.

1. Where are they eatting? (pic)
2. Britney, eh? Have you seen this?
3. What happened to this/your finger? (pic)
4. Aren't you scared of putting your address online? And, I know it is your address! (pic)
5. What are these for? How long did it take to get that many? (pic)

You know of my love for 365. In fact, I'm actually quite happy that you made this entry because today I was thinking about your project. What kind of bandwidth does it take to make that site? I'm sure as a co-founder of hipnite, you give yourself quite a deal on the price, eh?

Now I have to ask: how many other family members of yours has a web address with "mcknight" in it? Actually, how many members of your family HAVE web sites? You must have a pretty rich family because your uncle's photos are both beautiful and varied in locations, meaning lots of traveling. Not to mention how many times you've flown all over the place.

Hmm. Question about pictures? Well, I can't be the first person to follow your rule and only ask about one photo. Five will do for me too.
A big Google sign? With boobies? (pic)
I love it. Who is it, where were you, what was happening, and all the other questions? (pic)
Who's plate? (pic)
Bitchin'. But what is it? (pic)
Still infested? (pic)

Hmmmm I was really hoping you guys would ask one question. I suppose I will answer all of them but only because I had a great night ;)

Jay:
1. http://gtmcknight.com/365/index.xml - been there all along, but hidden i guess
2. I'm learning the guitar. That is my dad's fender strat that I took to Mexico with me so my stepdad could teach me some basics. I'm hoping it'll help me get chicks.
3. Whenever I have nothing else to take a pic of, I resort to my roommates belongings. That was his fridge.
4. That's my dad jumping outside of our house. I took about 5 of them, trying to catch him in midair. I choose that one because it almost looks like he's just standing on the ground but if you look closely the shadow goes all the way under his feet.
5. Daniel and Jesus Mike drank that wine.

Stacy:
1. Daniel and Thomas are eating 'All You Can Eat' Shrimp from IHOP. I think it was like 8.95, and we all had like 4 baskets, but each time they kept filling them up with more and more fries and less and less shrimp. It was very sneaky.
2. That was Valentines Day. I spent it with my rm and Uncle (and his friends) for dinner and a movie. It wasn't a bad night, but could've been better if she was there.
3. Conor, one of our gerbils, bit the fuck out of my finger.
4. Not really, its a dorm address, and I don't even live there anymore. Besides, I don't have many stalkers these days...
5. I used to *love* The Gap in middle and high school. I ended up just saving all the damn tags, and found them while going through some old stuff one day. I don't shop there too often anymore because my tastes have changed a bit and their styles have gone downhill imo

Blade:
That is it actually. Just my uncle Alex. I also made a family blog at www.sendnotes2.us for Christmas last year as a fun way to keep up with whats going on in each others lives but my family is lame/too busy/uninterested and it was pretty much a waste. Now on to the *real* questions :P

1. Thats a Google server in our office at school. We rent two of them from Google to do the ufl caching locally. That one is broken, but still way cool looking. It's being replaced soon I believe.
2. We spent the 4th up on our roof watching fireworks around the neighborhood. It got dark out and I had this great idea that my dad would snap his flash in his face at the exact same time I took a pic from behind. It was unbelievable hard to get our snapping in sync, so we took about 20 of them, and that is the only one that came out. It is probably one of my favorite photos so far.
3. I forget, I saw it on the way to lunch one day. I know he's some computer geek professor at our school.
4. Walking back to my dorm one night, I saw the new light posts they were installing. They apparently didn't finish wiring them, and left all these bright colored wires just hanging out. I thought it looked awesome. The blurring wasn't intentional, my camera tends to do that alot, but it came out real nice.
5. My old dorm is probably still infested, haha. Me? I don't have to worry about that since I'm living in the nicest dorm on campus for the next 5 weeks.

Longest. Comment. Ever.

Chicken in front of brick wall in Mexico, as I recall. Come on, do share. Why the chicken?

Yay for Mark only asking one question. It was running around outside of my stepdad and sisters house while I was in Mexico for Spring Break. I'm pretty sure it belonged to the next door neighbors, and I'm pretty sure it was the same rooster that woke me up way to early every morning.

365 is great man. I think it's a nice goal, but do you think you are forgetting about another part of your site? Like, "Steal These Buttons"? On that note, I can't seem to upload the images that I have made. It keeps saying that the image needs to be (.gif) or (.png) which they are.
