Today marks the 2nd full year of blogging here at gtmcknight.com. I feel that I have come a long way, yet still have many miles to reach before I feel my blog, writing, and design skills have fully matured. Hell, I remember hating the concept of blogging, and here I am, still chugging along. 2 years ago I was just learning web design, falling in love with Maureen, waiting for my parents to move to Mexico and even hating my summer classes (just like I am now!). I like to think I have gotten away from the livejournal-esqu entries (you know those ones describing their day but not really saying anything interesting) but I do have my relapses once in a while.
Over two years I think I have understood what makes an interesting journal entry (though I have to admit I don't always put the extra effort like some). I've loved the way this website gives me the chance to express myself publically. I love the people who read my ramblings, criticize and compliment my designs, and help me in more ways than one. I love the way the Steal These Buttons gained my website so much exposure. I love having my website as a tool to meet friends like Kitta and Mark.
Thanks again, for everything, and I will try my best to make the next year even better than the last.
ps. I did finish my 3000 word paper by 9am (without going to sleep) and turned it in at 930am on time. My own fault.
