Almost Twenty One

I turn twenty one years old this Friday, August 20th. I can hardly remember when the last time I really did something great and exciting for my birthday. It was probably before highschool at Chucke E. Cheese. Since you only turn 21 once, and its one of the last great milestones (birthday wise) I will have in quite some time I'm doing lots of special things.

First, I am hoping to have a version 4 of gtmcknight launched by this Friday. I started yesterday, and am halfway through the document structure as well as element positioning. Tomorrow I will work on bringing the imagery and content together and hopefully have most of it done so I can begin incorporating content into it on Wed. I have alotta work ahead of me, but it's my birthday present to myself, and I'm pretty excited about it. After all, I have learned a ton since last September's version 3. Oh the suspense!

Secondly, my parents are doing something awfully nice for me. On Friday at noon, my dad, stepmom, Cory and I are flying to Las Vegas. How sweet is that? We'll be returning around midnight on Sunday (or actually Monday morning) because school begins on the 23rd. I've been reading my $8.95 How to Win in Las Vegas book from Barnes & Nobles and hope to atleast break even by Sundays departure. This is going to be one hell of a weekend. I've passed through Vegas a couple times this weekend (even taking a cab into town to snap a pic for 365) but have never actually been there before so if you have anything you care to share about the city let me know.

Thirdly, my case of Voss that my Mom (in Mexico) got me showed up today. 24 glorious bottles of refreshing libations imported all the way from Norwegian. Life is good.
