More Things I Hate

When eating with a utensil, using your whole hand wrapped around the handle.

The Pitchfork redesign for oh so many reasons. Tables, ugly code, poor color scheme, lame adaptation of the pitchfork logo (whered the handle go?!), the ads are overwhelming, they moved the only reason i visit (the news section for upcoming concerts/tours) down mid-fold, no RSS feeds, flash menu, and all those damn ads which really won't be an issue once i add http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/chris/ad to my hosts list. Why the hell didn't they go the css/xhtml route and incorporate some damn feeds??

Kottke resorting to posting spam titles. I think everyone gets to this point, which means you have nothing worthwhile to say. Which is totally oppposite of the usual, because i absolutely love his website.

How about the fact that none of the bands I want to see that are touring are even stopping in Florida. Also, I really really hate Gainesville's music scene. Which is funny since I (think) I have a wide variety of tastes, and love concerts.

I'm really not in (that) bad of mood, I just needed to get that out. Listening to lots of great new music, as usual, that I will let you all know about soon.

I noticed that too, how bands that I'm interested in seem to not even want to take the "detour" down to Florida, usually the furthest south they go is Atlanta, GA.

I'm not current with the Gainesville music scene, but my former step-brother Brandon Powell (dad is Billy Powell of Lynyrd Skynyrd fame) is in the band called Trite, and I believe they play in Gainesville often. They're into heavy metal, so if you like metal, maybe check them out if you haven't yet.
