K Records has artists (past and present) including The Blow, Beck, Modest Mouse, Mirah, Built to Spill etc.. and like many kind and generous indie labels they have a *ton* of mp3's on their website.
They even go on to say "We are decreasing the number of MP3s available on our website, however, we would be happy to email you an MP3 of any song you are interested in." How freakin' cool is that of a record label? Wow.
Since there are so many, I thought it would be fun if we all download a few from different bands and give a quick review (or even a rating) of your two favs so we can get some really great mp3s without having to listen to them all.
Of course since I get to go first, I get to make the absolute two best recommendations. They will all be from here:

Mirah - Cold Cold Water: A drumming epic love ballad from the girl with the angel voice. Folky-rock. SO GOOD.
The Blow - Jet Ski Accidents: Indie-pop fun. Khaela has a great voice too.

Beck - Cyanide Breathmint: Classic old-school Beck... there's another version of this where he switches out entire phrases and it still sounds cool, plus I swear this was in some Indie movie way back when.
Built to Spill - Still Flat: Pretty cool song. I'm still waiting for them to come out with something new. My fav album by them is Keep it Like a Secret.
I like The Blow song, Taylor. I thought it sounded like Bjork's sister or something when I heard the start of it. Cool song.
