If you post links you can ALWAYS keep them from going over bandwidth by posting them as:
http://www.linksite.com.nyud.net:8090/whatever/directory/etc.html
Putting .nyud.net:8090 after the domain name causes it to be cached in a big network of free caching computers.
How cool is that? Fark can be educational.

by the way, how did you mod the comment tag to change the layout of name, e-mail, url? i like it way better this way than the default way..

Not so good if you are behind a water-tight proxy that does not allow port specifying. (Like I am 10 hours of the day).
I always miss out on those slashdot mirrors :P
