I last touched my computer at 1:30am and now its suddenly 6:36am and I'm waiting for Mark (who overslept :) ) to get out of the shower. If I wasn't so excited about what's going on here, I'd be completely unfunctional.
Saturday was pretty much spent traveling from Florida to the west coast (speaking of west, am I the only one that *always* recites Never Eat Soggy Waffles to figure out a direction?). Sunday was really our only free day in San Francisco. We went down to the Fisherman's Wharf, walked around downtown SF (did a lil shoppin'), rode the trolleys!, and checked out the Redwoods. I was unaware that the fat Redwoods (you know, the ones you can drive through) are much more inland than SF is. They only have the tall thin ones, which are pretty but can't fit our Ford Classic rental car in them. Another trip, I suppose.
Last night we went to the Sunday Mashup Pre-party at the Hotel Avant. There were about 50 people there (as opposed to 300 in the conference) so it was a great opportunity to meet a few people before things get started on Monday. Last night was already a wealth of great ideas so I can only imagine the next few days to be even better.
Mashup Camp is today and tomorrow and then Daniel and I head to San Diego for a few days to hang out at Eventful. Then we head back home to Gainesville. Life is gooood.
