Comments (Part Argh)

A lot of silence over the past few weeks. I have lots to write about but finally got around to mucking with this comment situation. The problem, from what all my programmer friends tell me, is that Movable Type is written horribly. This is probably true but I still like it. The past times I've turned comments back on it has brought down my friends entire server. Our guess is that I've now installed too many anti-spam plugins that take too many processes.

So here we go again. To comment on my website now you have to login through TypeKey. This is a bigger hurdle than I'd like, but I think it's worthwhile. The other option would be turning everything off and me spending 2 hours a day filtering through spam/non-spam comments. So TypeKey it is.

TypeKey is a free, open system providing you a central identity for posting comments on weblogs and logging into other websites. You can register for free (and takes 2 minutes). I'd really appreciate it if you don't let this be too big of a hurdle to continue commenting :)
