I'm not a big one for moving. I lived in the same dorm on campus for 3 years, then moved into the apartment I'm currently at for the past 3 years. With all of my roommates going into the Navy in the next 3-10 months and my lease ending in July I figured it was time for a change.
I signed my lease last week and move in on August 1st. I'm very excited as it is right smack in the middle of downtown Gainesville so I'm within a block of coffee shops, the Hippodrome (indie movie theatre) and tons of restaurants. Even better, I'll only be 3 blocks from the main concert venue in town. My rent is going up to $600 a month (instead of $350) but I'm also going from 3 rm's to one. And more space to set up my home office without giving up a walk-in closet and personal bathroom. And compared to what my friends pay in NYC, I can't complain :)
