Coming home from work on Friday I saw this eagle hopping along the ground, hurt. I called the Wildlife sanctuary but by the time they got here he was nowhere to be found.

Could this be your little fella? if so, he is apparently a red-shouldered hawk.
Yeah..err I meant hawk not eagle. Baron, that actually looks very very similar...does it matter that it was in FL and not IL? Nice catch nonetheless!
